Holidaying abroad doesn’t have to be all about sun bathing and riding on jet ski’s, you can experience places such as Hawaii differently, by taking one of their Pearl Harbor tours once you reach your destination. Hawaii is known for being a beautiful island which offers lots in the way of sunshine and sea, however, it is also rich in culture, and a fantastic way in which to experience this history and culture, is by taking a Pearl Harbor tour, and experience a true insight into what actually went down in the war. As well as experiencing this sort of culture, it is well worth taking a tour around the island to find out more about Hawaii itself. Within Hawaii itself there are 6 places which are popular with tourists, these are Oahu, Maui, Kauai, Big Island, Molokai and Lania. Like all places in the world, the temperature will vary depending on the time of year you choose to travel, but it is worth noting that the temperatures never seem to drop below 60 F throughout the year.

If travelling far isn’t your bag, then why not try out Europe for your holiday destination. There are loads of places to see in and around Europe and plenty to do. Scandinavia is a region of Northern Europe, and has some fantastic places to visit in it. Denmark, Sweden and Norway are possibly the most visited throughout the holiday season, and English is spoken throughout these islands. Scandinavia itself has relatively mild weather conditions, however it does extend to the Arctic Circle.

Travelling to Hawaii and Scandinavia could not be simpler, as there are now many places on the internet who offer fantastic travel deals, both on flights and accommodation. If you are wanting to experience a little history whilst on your trip, then it is well worth planning your visit in advance and making sure that you have pre-booked your trip of choice, to ensure that you don’t miss out. Especially at peak holiday times, you could be left disappointed if you haven’t pre-booked your trip. It is imperative that you always read through the terms and conditions on the travel companies website, before committing, to ensure that the holiday offers everything you are looking for.

Everyone looks forward to the summer coming and during the winter months many people often book their summer holidays. Not everyone enjoys the same sort of holidays and while sunbathing might be top on many peoples lists sightseeing is more appealing to other people. Whatever sort of holiday anyone prefers it is always better if the sun is shining as the weather can spoil anyone’s holiday. Spain is number one holiday destination for anyone wanting to lie on the beach all day and get a sun tan. There are also many places in Spain that are well worth seeing so it is possible for visitors on holiday to combine both. Some of the most popular holiday destinations are America, Australia, Russia, Germany, Italy and France. Of course, London attracts millions of visitors all year round and is famous for the many sightseeing attractions such as Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey and the Tower of London. The Scandinavian countries that consist of Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland are very popular and attract tourists all year round. It is always better to stay in Denmark holiday homes (Dänemark Ferienhäuser) during the summer months when the temperature is warm and pleasant.
Although Sweden is the largest of the Scandinavian countries Denmark which borders on Germany and is the smallest is very popular with tourists. The most popular time to visit Denmark is during the summer although even in winter there is very little snow and frost. Denmark is a country of farmlands and settlements and is flat lowland. The capital of Denmark is Copenhagen, and many visitors to the nation stay in the many holiday homes in Denmark that are scattered around the capital. Anyone wanting to visit Sweden from Denmark by car can do so by crossing over the Oresund Bridge and Denmark also runs many ferries that take cars. Denmark also has a good rail network and travelling by train to Sweden is another alternative for anyone not wanting to drive the distance. Other countries such as Iceland, Norway and the Faroe Islands can all be reached by ferry from Denmark and usually takes about 16 – 18 hours. Many tourists fly to Denmark first to see the main sights before moving on to Norway to see the spectacular fjords. However, the easiest way of seeing any of the Scandinavian countries is by plane and flights are available from most European airlines to the main cities.

Travelling abroad has never been as popular as what it is today and with so many cheap package deals and budget airlines tourists can visit almost any country in the world. Anyone planning to visit a country in northern Europe such as Germany, Austria and Switzerland will find that the majority of people speak German as their first language. Countries such as Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Northern Italy, Denmark, parts of Belgium and France also have communities that speak mostly German. German speaking people can also be found in Cyprus, Egypt, Greece, Spain and Turkey although obviously this is not their first language.

In England not many people bother to learn a different language as most countries in the world can speak a little English. Young people in Germany, Austria and Switzerland will learn it at school as a second language as do children in Spain, Cyprus and many other countries. For English people travelling to a German speaking country they will find the younger generation can usually understand English. The older people will not have been taught English at School so communication is usually difficult. Some people like to learn a little of the German language before they start travelling, by enrolling in German courses (Deutsch Kurse) during the winter months. By the time they travel in the summer time they usually have a basic knowledge to help them get around. Some countries like Spain have tourists from all over the world in search of the sunshine. At most Hotels and restaurants staff will be able to understand foreign visitors from England, Germany and France. The menus are usually written in many languages and ordering food is not a problem.

The German language is also spoken in many countries outside Europe such as Canada, Brazil and the United States owing to German emigration. Learning foreign languages is usually done while people are at school but there is always the opportunity to learn a language later at Evening School. The most popular language courses are Spanish, French, German, Italian and Greek. Some of these language courses run all year round and older people can often join a language class during school hours at a local College. Anyone learning German will have no problem with communication when visiting German speaking countries in Northern Europe.

During the winter months we all look forward to the summer and where we might go to take a holiday. For parents with young children it will probably be somewhere that is near a beach where the children can play and paddle in the sea. Some people like to travel abroad and see different countries while other people are more content with staying in England. During the summer months Cornwall, Devon, Wales and many other places near the sea will have huge numbers of tourists. Many of them will have children and might be staying in a caravan that the children will love.
Other people might be there to see the scenery more than the beaches while younger people love Newquay in Cornwall for the surfing. We all like different kinds of holidays and Spain is very popular for people wanting to just relax on the beach and get a sun tan. Sightseeing is very popular and the fun of discovering new places both here in England and abroad is enjoyed by many people.

A less well known place to visit is Allgau which is a Bavarian state in Germany. Kempten in Allgau is the largest city and in Germany one of the oldest urban settlements with many beautiful attractions. There is the Allgau-museum which is well worth a visit. The St.Lorenz Basilica minor, The Burghalde Castle, The City Hall and the Square and the medieval Keck Chapel are among the main attractions as well as the St.Mang Church and the Duke-Abbots Residence. Memmingen is the nearest airport with Bad Worishoten and another city Biberach being close by. With so many wonderful places for sightseers to visit and so many beautiful Hotel Allgäu (www.hotel-sonnenbichl.com) establishments to stay in, they will return home with fond and lasting memories of their holiday in Allgau.

Another destination which attracts millions of tourists all year round is London famous for the many sightseeing attractions. These include Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. Tourists come from all over the world to see the sights as well as visiting the many theatres to see the shows. With so many lovely places to visit both here and abroad no wonder people love travelling. Budget airlines and cheap package holidays enables people to travel more than ever before and a visit to Allgau in Germany is an experience that should not be missed.

With more and more people travelling abroad to foreign countries we may have difficulty communicating if we cannot speak the language. Because most countries speak a little English we never really give it a thought. In most European countries such as Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Greece and Portugal children are taught English as a second language at school. Younger people will usually know a little English but the older people will not. Should problems arise it is always better to ask a younger person for help as they will usually be able to communicate better.
Another tip is to pack a dictionary and a phrase book which could come in very useful. Because most of the European countries teach English in schools, translation German English (Übersetzung Deutsch Englisch) is not always required for people who come to England on a holiday. For anyone visiting England who cannot speak English they would certainly have a problem as very few English people speak another language. Thankfully most foreign visitors can speak a little English. It is the English people who travel abroad to countries where English isn’t spoken who have problems.

One of the main holiday destinations is Spain and in many of the main holiday resorts tourists will have no problems at all. Nearly all the Spanish people who work in shops, bars, hotels and restaurants will be able to speak English. Also holiday resorts in most other European countries will not present any problem with language communication. Some people take a basic language course to help them if they are visiting a country where English is not spoken. This helps them to order meals and ask directions should they need to. In all countries there is almost always the services of a translation agency (twiggs translations) should the need arise. It is always advisable to check out where the nearest place of assistance is before travelling to a country where English is not spoken. Also other people who are on holiday may be able to speak the language, so they may be able to help with communication. If all else fails try pointing and using sign language which might be more useful than speaking.

Denmark is the oldest kingdom in Europe and also the home of the all time famous author Hans Christian Anderson. Denmark is so beautiful that many people have a Denmark holiday home (Dänemark Ferienhaus) which they visit each year especially during the summer.

If you are looking at purchasing a Denmark holiday home then the first place you should consider is the capital itself. Copenhagen has probably the most tourist attractions, the most famous of which are the Freetown Christiania, Tivoli gardens and the ever beautiful ‘The Little Mermaid’. A recent survey conducted in July of 2008 concluded that the Little Mermaid was the most popular attraction in Copenhagen.

Now if you are already from a big city, and want to avoid Copenhagen because of its obvious hustle and bustle then travel via the old road to the north of Copenhagen to a place called Helsingør. This place is located along a scenic coastline that passes through Klampenbrog. Here the famous attractions are the Bakken amusement fair and the Dyrehave Park. However the biggest hook for almost everyone that visits this place is the awesome and famous Kronborg Castle which is also famous for its ties to Shakespeare’s famous Hamlet. This is also a great place for anyone who wants to get away from it all and enjoy calm cool evenings and bright mornings during the summer. However finding a Denmark holiday home in Klampenbrog can be challenging and will require some time.

People who are looking for a place that has more sand, and sea in Denmark should trying looking for a Denmark holiday home in Bornholm which is situated in the Baltic Sea. Here in addition to picturesque villages, rocky seascapes, and awesome beaches there are also sleepy and gorgeous small towns of Savaneke, Gudhjem, Rønne and Sandvig which are worth visiting and living in. The most famous monument on this island is the ruins of one of Europe’s largest castle called Hammershus. Going to and from this island is made possible via the great ferry services that run from Køge and Ystad. You can also fly right in via the nearest airport which is at Rønne.

One of the biggest plus points of spending your holidays in Denmark is that aura of the whole place is so energizing. A few days in your Denmark holiday home is guaranteed to prepare you for when you get back to work.

Every year more and more people rent a finca in Mallorca (Mallorca Finca mieten) or book some other far away destination. A good way of travelling to these far out destinations is by using a motor homes, so there is no wonder that cass C motorhome sales are on the up over the last year. Among the most popular countries are Spain, Italy, France, Greece and Germany. America, Russia and Australia are also very popular but of course the flights to these countries take much longer. For families with young children one of the most popular holiday destinations is the Mallorca islands of Spain which consist of Majorca which is the largest, Ibiza and Menorca. Not only are these islands very relaxing and enjoy lovely weather the flight to any of them will only take about two and a half hours. These are plenty of Hotels that cater for children with lots of children’s entertainment and activities. When the children are entertained their parents can enjoy a more relaxing holiday which they truly deserve. Also at these Hotels there are always plenty of other children to play with so a good time is usually had by all. Many people with children prefer to go self catering and there is no shortage of self catering apartments to suit most families.

For couples without children there are plenty of excellent Hotels and Finca Mallorca getaways that cater for adults only or self catering apartments. Whatever accommodation people chose to stay in is not a problem and all three of these islands cater for everyone. These Mallorca islands are very beautiful with clear blue skies and sea. The beaches are peaceful and very relaxing for anyone wanting to chill out. Depending on the time of the year the sea is warm and inviting. Most of the beaches have sun loungers for hire and refreshments can be purchased from small cafes that are close by. Children can enjoy themselves building sand castles or paddling in the sea. It is all wonderfully relaxing and the perfect holiday destination for everyone to enjoy. There are plenty of excursions available should anyone want to see more of the islands or maybe hire a car for a day or so to explore on your own. Spain is a favourite holiday destination for everyone, and with so many budget airlines offering cheap fares most people can enjoy a vacation Mallorca or anywhere else in Spain.

Travelling abroad to far away destinations has never been as popular as what it is today. Years ago people were lucky just to be able to have a day out at the seaside. Since package holidays were first introduced that enabled people to take cheaper holidays abroad, more and more people travel the world. Cheap airlines such as Easy Jet and Ryanir have also cut down the cost of travelling and taking holidays abroad has now become big business. The most popular destinations are Spain, Greece, France, Germany and Portugal which are all part of Europe.
Other far away destinations which attract many tourists are America, Russia, Australia and New Zealand, not forgetting the Scandinavia countries of Norway, Finland, Denmark and Sweden. These Scandinavian countries are known as Nordic Europe which is the largest region in Europe north of the Baltic Sea. Norway is particularly well known for its spectacular fjords and often referred to as the land of the midnight sun. Norway borders on Russia and is only the size of Germany. Sweden is the largest Scandinavian country while Denmark is the smallest and borders on Germany. Finland is made up of thousands of little islands which also border Russia.

Although these countries form the largest region in Europe not many people actually live there. The most popular cities to visit are Copenhagen in Demark, Oslo in Norway, Stockholm in Sweden and Helsinki in Finland. Many people are surprised at how mild the climate is although the Baltic side tends to be colder. People who visit Scandinavia countries often decide to travel that little bit further and visit Iceland which is famous for volcanoes, geysers and the spectacular scenery and waterfalls. Getting there is easy by ferry from Denmark as are the Faroe Islands. The spectacular Northern Lights can be seen north of the Arctic Circle and amaze the many tourists that visit these Scandinavia countries. In all Scandinavian countries basic English is spoken so communication is not a problem. German is also spoken in Denmark but very little German is spoken in the other Scandinavian countries. Many cruise ships visit these Scandinavian countries allowing people to see the best sights that these countries are famous for.
